Our Firm:

GlobaLocal Vision, LLC, is a family-owned, social research consulting firm, conducting research on social and political issues of importance, in our backyards and around the world.

We are a full-service research group with extensive experience designing and implementing research projects customized to meet client needs.

Our expertise includes public opinion studies, needs assessments, program evaluations, client satisfaction studies, visitor surveys, strategic planning, demographic and social issue analysis, workshops and training.

We use a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies in our projects, including surveys (telephone, household, intercept, and web surveys); focus groups (in-person and virtual); in-depth interviewing; secondary data analysis; and archival research.

Meet the Research Team

  • Fred Solop, PhD

    CO-DIRECTOR

    Dr. Fred Solop is a political scientist with more than 35 years’ experience designing, administering, and reporting on social science research projects. Dr. Solop is a Professor in the Department of Politics and International Affairs at Northern Arizona University where he teaches social science research methodology to doctoral and masters-level students. As Director of Northern Arizona University’s Social Research Laboratory from 1999 to 2008, Dr. Solop served as principal investigator for more than 300 research projects. Across the span of his career, Dr. Solop has built an impressive portfolio of experience conducting research for federal agencies, state agencies, counties, cities, regional governmental units, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.

  • Nancy Wonders, PhD

    CO-DIRECTOR

    Dr. Nancy Wonders is a sociologist and Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northern Arizona University. She is an award-winning researcher and teacher who has engaged in social science research in collaboration with numerous public, private, and non-profit entities. She has conducted focus groups and in-depth interviews with diverse populations, including immigrants, criminal justice officials, survivors of domestic violence, Latinx citizens, and indigenous peoples; led data analysis for a statewide sentencing project funded by the National Institute of Justice; engaged in survey and evaluation research for many governmental entities and non-profit organizations; and engaged in ethnographic fieldwork in the U.S. and Europe.
